Have you guys noticed how obsessed with time we all are these days?
How often do you catch yourself wishing there were more hours in the day to get sh*t done? It's kind of crazy how we're all constantly lamenting our lack of time.
And I get it. I definitely include myself in that category.
Given that everyone is so busy these days fitting in a workout isn't always easy. But no one said you need to slave away in the gym for hours to see results.
This resistance band workout is short, but super effective when you squeeze it in regularly. And the best part is you can do this anywhere - in your living room while watching Netflix, or while traveling.
I always toss a resistance band in my luggage because it takes up next to no room. And all you have to do is whip it out in your hotel room to get a quick workout in. No excuses.
The resistance band is definitely one of my absolute favorite pieces of equipment. When you are using a band you're forced to work hard during the eccentric part of the movement - when the muscle lengthens. This differs from when you're using free weights, and your muscles are working in only one direction (a concentric movement - when the muscle shortens.) So it's a great way to shake things up.
Complete this workout 2x or more a week. Your arms and upper back will thank you, I promise !
Here is a similar band to the one I'm using. I used 8 - 12 lbs. You can use less or more depending on your level.
*A note on this video: I almost didn't publish it because it's not "perfect" per se, and my living room was so sunny I had to wear a hat. But then I thought about it, and realized that's silly. It's all about sharing with this community something of value, and who needs perfection, right?
Thanks for watching! Don't forget to head to my YouTube channel, give the video a thumbs up if you like it, and subscribe!
